Contributing to a wider community

91制片厂 Grammar School Students commit to the following projects:

  • Local, for example, the Samaritans
  • National, for example, Cancer Council
  • International, for example, Vietnam ‘Hands on Humanity’ project

to engage with a range of issues including homelessness, poverty, mental and physical health, literacy, aged care and disability.

Our connection to a school and orphanage in Vietnam allows students from Year 9 to 12 an opportunity to travel and experience the wider perspective of education and life in a developing nation.

NGS Vietnam Project

The School runs an annual trip to widen student awareness and support the school and orphanage. Open to students from Year 9, the Vietnam trip aims to increase awareness of the privilege gap that currently exists in society.  It also gives the students a chance to support a number of rewarding initiatives aimed at breaking the poverty cycle in Vietnam, including Dining in the Dark and Streets Restaurant.

The School remains committed to the Vietnam Project and the Long Hai School. The trip has strengthened the relationship between both schools and most importantly, between the students.
